The SLUNCF provides Training to its Prospective Grantees

On Tuesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF) hosted a training session for those entities that had submitted Concept Notes and have been chosen for the submission of Full Proposals.  The one-and-a-half-day training session was conducted by Mr. Felix Finisterre. 

Plastic Recycling Project 'RePLAST OECS' Launches in Saint Lucia

Environmental stakeholders from the public and private sectors in Saint Lucia lent their support and expertise towards the successful launch and two-day workshop for the RePLAST OECS project – an initiative that seeks to create a sustainable economic model for the management and recycling of plastic waste in the Caribbean, particularly between the OECS Member States and the French Departments of the Caribbean.

SLHTA's Tourism Enhancement Fund Board Meeting

The SLHTA convened another meeting of with the board of trustees of the Tourism Enhancement Fund on Wednesday 31st August 2019 under the Chairmanship of Mr. Winston Anderson of Sandals Resorts. Main agenda items included presentations from a number of agencies and organizations seeking grant funding for projects ranging from product enhancement, human resources development and community development.

Massy Stores signs EC $150K MOU with the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund for Plastic Waste Management Projects

Massy Stores SLU Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF), to manage a portion of the funds collected from the plastic charge. This is the charge, which the supermarket initiated last year, as part of a plan to transition customers to reusable bags. The amount donated is one hundred and fifty thousand dollars (EC$150,000).
